All the coupons I found in my first week of living cheaply green
Coupons, in conjunction with smart planning, are the absolute best way to begin eating cheaply. Organic coupons are only a tiny bit harder to find than more common-place foods, but not to worry - follow these simple instructions and you'll end up with a fat envelope of coupons in no time!
1) Check out your local grocery store's website for coupons. I live and work next to Whole Foods, so I check their website weekly. They always have printable coupons. FYI, Trader Joe's does NOT have coupons (but their prices are affordable, AND they've just announced that they will now be selling seafood bought sustainably!)
2) Find coupons at the store itself - if you don't see anything on display, go to customer service and ask! Whole Foods has a magazine (it's usually hanging on random shelves) and a weekly sheet with coupons - these are usually the same as the ones online.
3) Find specific brand printable coupons online - go to any (and ALL) of your favorite brand's websites. I've consistently had luck with:
- Organic Valley
- Coleman Natural - you need to complete a short survey (I promise it's worth it)
- Brown Cow
My name is Katie and I’m a long time __________ customer. I recently graduated from college and have hit some tough financial times. I’m trying very hard to keep eating healthy, sustainably, and organic on a very tight budget. I would love to know if you are have any kind of coupons, promotions, or samples that I could take advantage of. I would really love to keep your products on my grocery list as I navigate this bump in the road :)
